WINNIPEG – Police have located and arrested a Winnipeg man who robbed a bank in the city using a knife on June 22nd of this year.
The man entered a bank on Rothesay Street armed with a large knife and demanded money, which he was provided.
Police say on June 21st a 2001 Chrysler Sebring was stolen from the 900 block of St. James Street. On June 30 the vehicle was located abandoned and examined by police.
The forensic evidence obtained from both scenes linked a male suspect to both incidents.
On Tuesday Rudy Alfred Olson, a 32-year-old man from Winnipeg was charged with:
- Robbery
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order X2
- Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Disobey Court Order X2
- Break of Recognizance
- Possess Weapon
