Four People Arrested During Winnipeg Checkstop Program

WINNIPEG, MB – Four people were arrested and fifteen tickets were issued during the third week of the Winnipeg Police Checkstop program.

During week 3 police said they stopped a total of 1,328 vehicles, below, are the results of those stops:

  • 18 road-side breath tests administered resulting in 4 fails and 3 warns (72 hr DL suspension).
  • 4 impaired driving-related arrests, (1 of which was a Drug Impaired Driver)
  • 15 tickets were issued.

The Festive Season Checkstop program is on the road for 2017 and will run every day for the month of December, including New Year’s Eve.
