Fourth Suspect in Shooting of RCMP Officer Captured

WINNIPEG – Manitoba RCMP have all four suspects wanted in connection with the shooting of an officer Wednesday night in custody.

Police say the fourth suspect. a male, was captured at a house in Neepawa Thursday afternoon. The suspect allegedly fled the scene of the shooting in Onanole in a stolen pickup truck.

The officer who was shot, remains in hospital in stable condition. RCMP are asking people to respect his privacy and that of his family at this time.

During a press conference Superintendent Scott McMurchy told reporters the officers who were shot at did not shoot back. McMurchy went on to say, the officer’s partner was more concerned about getting him medical attention as quickly as possible.
