FREE Zoo Admission for Kids Over the Holiday Break

Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – The Holiday Break tradition continues at the Assiniboine Park Zoo. Children ages 12 and under receive free Zoo admission from December 21, 2019 to January 5, 2020.

“This is a great opportunity for families to spend some quality time together at the Zoo,” said Laura Cabak, Manager, Communications & Public Relations, Assiniboine Park Conservancy. “Many of our animals – like polar bears, wolves, Amur tigers and snow leopards – are perfectly adapted to thrive in our Winnipeg winters, making it a great time to visit them at the Zoo.”

The following are holiday hours for all Park and Zoo amenities:

· Assiniboine Park Zoo – Open daily 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closed Christmas Day

· The Park Café – Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closed Christmas Day

· The Pavilion – Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closed Christmas Day

The winter break promotion applies to regular daytime Zoo visits only and is not applicable to Zoo Lights Festival, a separate after-hours ticketed event running until January 5, 2020.
