WINNIPEG – Mourners gathered in Carman on Wednesday for the funeral of five slain family members.

Police found the bodies of Amanda Clearwater, her three young children and her teen niece earlier this month at multiple crime scenes.

Clearwater was remembered as a woman who loved her kids and enjoyed taking them on walks.

Her common-law partner has been charged with five counts of first degree murder.
