WINNIPEG, MB. – Just over 3,000 fans witnessed a rare loss for the Manitoba Moose last evening, their second straight, only the second time that has happened this season.

The Moose got out of the gate quickly on a breakaway goal by Buddy Robinson. Then, Grand Rapids tied the game just 28 seconds later. It stayed tied in the first until Grand Rapids scored with just 44 seconds left.
In the second, the Moose power put together multiple scoring opportunities but, Griffins goaltender Jared Coreau stood tall in the net. The Griffins added to their lead on an Axel Holmstrom power play goal with six minutes remaining in the second.
Grand Rapids added two more goals in the third period by Holmstrom and McIlrath, the Griffins took a 5-1 victory.
