WINNIPEG – Police arrested a bicycle thief with a gun while responding to a report of stolen bikes that had been observed in the St. Mary’s Road area.
On December 7th at 6:30 in the evening, police saw a man on a bicycle that they believed had been stolen. Police arrested him and also discovered a handgun and eight rounds of ammunition. The bike had been stolen from a school on St. Anne’s Road on October 3rd.
Police continued with the investigation and believe the suspect was involved in an incident at a home in the Lord Roberts area on November 7th where he assaulted two women and pointed the firearm at them. He also pointed the firearm at a man during the incident and later fled.
29 year-old Bradley Kenneth Jones has been charged with assault with a weapon, numerous firearm charges, and possession of stolen property. He was held in custody.
