Guns and Ammunition Found in Home on Bannerman Ave

WINNIPEG, MB. – Winnipeg Police, with the Tactical Team and the Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant that revealed guns and ammunition.

The search warrant was executed at a home in the 600 block of Bannerman Avenue. Police found the following items;

A search of the residence revealed the following:

  • .22 calibre rifle,
  • .22 calibre pellet rifle with scope
  • Loaded sawed-off lever-action 30-30 rifle
  • Various types of ammunition

Police have charged, Christopher Leigh Chylinski, 38-years-old, of Winnipeg with the following;

  • Breach Probation
  • Possess Identity Card x 3
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm x 2
  • Contravention of Storage Regulations x 2
  • P.W.D.P.P. x 2
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Tampering with a Serial Number (of a firearm)
  • Possession Contrary to Prohibition Order x 12

Police also arrested a 32-years-old female of Winnipeg and released her on a Promise to Appear.
