WINNIPEG – A Winnipeg man is facing charges after police found guns in his vehicle following a traffic stop in Portage la Prairie.

RCMP says officers noticed a pickup truck was driving through the area with expired plates.

When they looked into the vehicle, they spotted two firearms – one of them a saw-off semi-automatic shotgun.

The driver is charged with possessing a prohibited weapon and two counts of unsafe storage of a weapon.
