WINNIPEG – A head-on collision claims the life of a 42-year-old woman from La Salle and sends a man to hospital by Air Ambulance.

Police said the collision occurred Wednesday morning around 7:25 AM on the Perimeter Highway, located approximately half kilometre east of the Brady Road intersection.

Police have determined that a westbound pickup truck, being driven by a 32-year-old man from Winnipeg, drove over the median and collided head-on with an eastbound minivan, being driven by Tammy Rosko, a 42-year-old woman from La Salle, who was on her way to work.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and the man was taken to hospital in serious condition.

Mounties believe seatbelts were in use and that speed was not a factor in the collision. Officers will now focus their attention on what caused the vehicle to cross over the median.
