STONEWALL – One person is dead and another taken to hospital in serious condition after a head-on collision on Highway 7 near Road 81 N in the RM of Rockwood.

The investigation has determined that a vehicle, driven by a 49-year-old male from Stonewall, was travelling north on Highway 7 when it collided head-on with a vehicle travelling south on Highway 7, driven by a 28-year-old female from Sandy Hook.

The 49-year-old male was pronounced deceased on scene. The 28-year-old female was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Stonewall RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
