WINNIPEG – The province has issued a high water advisory for the Red River.

All the recent rain will push the Red higher over the next several days between Emerson and Winnipeg.

However, the river is expected to stay within its banks.

Meantime, water levels are starting to drop in southwestern Manitoba where officials are still keeping a close eye on the Rivers Dam
