HOMELESS PROTEST

Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – About 100 people protested the removal of homeless camps by the Disraeli Bridge this afternoon.

The demonstrators began marching and delaying traffic before ending up at the nearby Manitoba Metis Federation building because they believe the MMF is responsible for getting the homeless evicted.

The people calling the camps home have been given until the end of the week to move on. Main Street Project and other community organizations are there to help.
