WINNIPEG – Communities Not Cuts Manitoba will hold another Honk-a-thon today. It’s set for noon at the Legislature. People angry about provincial CoVid-19 cuts will be lined up in their cars honking their horns. This follows up to 700 temporary layoffs at Manitoba Hydro and funding cuts to colleges and universities that could result in hundreds of jobs losses there too. Brian Pallister says this is all necessary because of coronavirus but his critics point out other premiers are holding off on action like this.
