WINNIPEG, MB. – Premier Brian Pallister and all members of the legislative assembly invite Manitobans to the annual Legislative Building open house to be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, between 1 and 3 p.m.

“The annual Open House is a special day that brings Manitobans, young and old to our outstanding Legislative Building,” said Pallister. “I encourage all Manitobans to come visit their elected representatives for an afternoon of festive cheer.”

Entertainment on the Grand Staircase will be provided by piper Dennis T. Schindler and the St. Andrews Pipe Band of Winnipeg, Balmoral Hall, Wayoata Elementary School, George Waters Middle School, Windsor School, Collège Jeanne-Sauvé and Fort Richmond Collegiate’s French Horn Trio.

Wandering carolers Aislynne and Kirsten and Wing and a Prayer will be heard throughout the building. The annual tradition of an MLA choir led by the Speaker will continue.

Enjoy creations by the Elf Balloonist in the children’s activity centre, along with craft projects co-ordinated by Art City. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be touring the Legislative Building.

Those visitors attending the free event are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for donation to the Christmas Cheer Board and invited to stop in the Rotunda to get festive season photos taken by Manitoba Education and Training staff.
