K-9 Helps Nab 3 Men for Robbery on Taylor Avenue

WINNIPEG, MB – Winnipeg police arrested and charged two 18-year-olds and one 20-year-old for stealing a vehicle and robbing a store on Taylor Avenue.

Saturday, January 28, around 4:20 a.m., police responded to an alarm at a store in the 1100 block of Taylor Avenue. When police arrived they noticed a vehicle in front of the business. The front window of the business was also smashed out and several people were running from the parking lot.

Officers along with the K-9 Unit caught three males.

Police said a large quantity of glasses and sunglasses were stolen from the business.

The vehicle, in front of the business, was stolen earlier in the evening from the 400 block of Edmonton Street. It was left unattended while running with the keys in it.

Police said they also found items stolen from a Break and Enter which occurred earlier in the morning in the first 100 block of Chaikoski Court inside the stolen vehicle.

Police have charged, Shaun William Cook, 18-years-old of Winnipeg with:

  • Break, Enter and Theft – Place
  • Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 X3
  • Break, Enter and Theft – Dwelling
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence X5

Rylie Johimal Keith Wiggins, 20-years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Break, Enter and Theft – Place
  • Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Break, Enter and Theft – Dwelling
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence X2

And John Henry Sinclair, 18-years-olf of Winnipeg has been charged with:

  • Break, Enter and Theft – Place
  • Possess Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Break, Enter and Theft – Dwelling
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance

All three men were held in custody.
