K-9 Locates 13-Year-Old Armed Robbery Suspect

WINNIPEG, MB – A 13-year-old has been charged for a robbery yesterday on Roblin Blvd.

The robbery occurred around 10:30 last evening at a business in the 6500 block of Roblin Boulevard.

Police said the suspect, while wearing a disguise and armed with a knife, confronted an employee. He demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money and fled. The employee was not injured.

A K-9 Unit responded to the robbery and was able to track and located the suspect at a nearby home where he was taken into custody. Money obtained from the robbery was recovered.

A 13-year-old youth has been charged with Robbery, Possess Weapon and Disguise with Intent.
