WINNIPEG – Early this morning, two men broke into a fenced compound on Regent Ave and smashed the window of one of the vehicles.
Police along with the K-9 unit responded to the break in and found the suspects hiding between vehicles. They arrested one immediately but the other suspect tried to run. He was arrested a short time later.
A search of the men revealed a flashlight, pry bar, and two pocket knives.
A 27-year-old Winnipeg man has been arrested for Break, Enter and Commit Offence and released on a Promise to Appear.
30 year-old Shaine Christopher Paul of Winnipeg has been charged with Break, Enter and Commit Offence, possessing a weapon, possessing break in instruments, and failing to comply with a Probation order.
He has been held in custody.
