WINNIPEG – The police board is without a chair. Kevin Klein resigned from the position today.
Klein, also the councillor for Charleswood, Tuxedo and Westwood, says the divide between city hall and the Winnipeg Police Service made it almost impossible for him to do an adequate job.
He calls this is a critical time for policing and not a time for games, tangible changes and action are needed.
#breakingnews @kevinkleinwpg has resigned as WPS Board Chair.
He is a friend and colleague and I wish him the best.
Who do you see either an elected or ordinary resident as the next Chair? #wpgpoli pic.twitter.com/i3ygSUhfXZ
