WINNIPEG – One person was rescued from a burning building and taken to hospital in stable condition.

It happened on Sunday afternoon at a multi-unit residence in the 100 block of Langside Street.

Fire crews battled the blaze for hours

Neighbouring homes had to be evacuated as a precaution.

There’s no damage estimate yet and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
