Luggage Thrown At Winnipeg Police

WINNIPEG – Police say residents of a Winnipeg apartment building threw items from their balconies at officers as they tried to handcuff an agitated man.

Neither of the officers were hit by the items which included a smaller suitcase.

However, investigators say one of the cops was bit by the suspect and he also tried to bite the other one.

The man was transported to hospital in stable condition and he now faces charges that include assaulting a peace officer and failing to comply with the conditions of a release order.
