BRANDON, MB – Brandon police had to deal with two assaults in the city. A taxi driver by a would be customer and a another man by a woman he met online.
A male victim called Police and reported being robbed by a female he recently met on an Internet dating site. The female suspect and another female went to the mans home and stole a computer. The suspect later returned with three other people, one was a man wearing a mask. The masked man punched the victim in the face and threatened to stab him. This time the suspects stole a television, jackets, cell phone and some jewelry. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
Later Police responded to the 700 Block of Rosser Avenue after receiving a report that a taxi driver was having problems with a fare. Police learned that a man threw a beer can at the driver hitting him in the head after the driver refused to take the man and his dog in the cab. The 33-year-old male suspect was also uncooperative with police and was arrested for Assault with a Weapon.
