WINNIPEG, MB. – A 22-year-old man has died from a workplace injury that happened at the Limestone Hydro Dam work site.
RCMP responded to Limestone Hydro Dam on Wednesday January 17 at 9 AM.
RCMP said in a release that the initial investigation determined the 22-year-old male, from Lake Manitoba First Nation, was securing metal sheets on a flatbed truck when two of the 15-foot sheets moved in his direction and struck him.
The man was transported to hospital where he died from his injuries.
Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health is collaborating with the RCMP and has also initiated an independent investigation under the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
