WINNIPEG, MB. – A Winnipeg police officer shot a man this morning in the city’s North End. The man, is in critical condition.

A little after midnight police responded to a call at a home in the North End on Charles Street in the 400 Block.

Police said in a release, when they arrived at the residence, they were confronted by the man. No other details about the what happened were provided, what we do know is the confrontation ended with the man being shot.

Police remain on scene and the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba has been notified.
