WINNIPEG, MB. – The Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League named their Player of the Week, Brandon’s own Ashley Seekings, who plays for the Westman Wildcats.

Seekings was instrumental in the Wildcats home victory in Hartney as she scored the Wildcats first goal of the game after she stole the puck in the neutral zone and rushed up the ice and buried her own rebound into the back of the net to tie the game at one. Seekings would go on to score the game winner on the power play late in the 2nd period with a hard blast from the point. Seekings also played huge minutes throughout the game and was a force on the penalty kill. Seekings attends Vincent Massey Collegiate in Brandon where the third year Wildcat is a Honour Student.
