WINNIPEG, MB – An altercation at the end of the game resulted in 76 minutes in penalties being handed out as the The Manitoba Moose doubled the Milwaukee Admirals, 6 – 3, last night at the Bell MTS Centre.

Milwaukee started the period strong, but Jamie Phillips helped the Moose by turning away the shots. The Moose scored first in the game with a power play marker at 15:34 by Buddy Robinson who picked up his own rebound.
Milwaukee tied things up just two minutes into the second on a power play goal from Mark McNeill. The Moose took the lead back at 6:17 when Brendan Lemieux scored his 14th goal of the season. Manitoba added another with 7:07 left in the second when Mason Appleton, Manitoba’s leading scorer, beat Anders Lindback for his 17th of the year. Moose goalie, Jamie Phillips, was busy in the second, making 11 saves in the period allowing the Moose to end the period with a 3-1 lead.
Lemieux put the Moose on the board in the third, scoring his second of the night. The Admirals didn’t give up as minutes later Frederick Gaudreau put Milwaukee back within two goals on a blistering shot to the top shelf. Just 1:34 later the Moose responded as Chase De Leo scored his 10th of the season. Another goal came at the 8:03 mark when Frederic Allard’s shot found its way over the goal line. Mason Appleton locked up the game putting one into an empty net for his second goal and third point of the night.
At the end of the game and after the final horn the teams were not quit finished and the ensuing result was a combined 76 minutes in penalties.
