The Moose started dominating the first period early with a goal from Darren Kramer just over five minutes in. The fourth line of Kramer, Garret Meurs, and Elgin Pearce caused a lot of problems for Belleville in period one. Meurs had several high-quality chances, including hitting a post before drawing an interference penalty. That power-play only lasted four seconds thanks to a goal from Michael Spacek. Still in the first, Nic Petan set a new career-high in points (33) when he scored goal number three for the Moose.

Belleville started the second period much stronger, but the Moose got on the board again with a goal by Mason Appleton, his 13th goal of the season. Late in the third, Jim O’Brien passed to Max McCormick, who got the Senators onto the scoreboard.

The third period slowed down, although there were some chances for Belleville, especially in the last three minutes, but Eric Comrie shut the door for a Moose win.
