WINNIPEG, MB. – The Manitoba Moose have hit a rough patch at home, losing twice at home to the Texas Stars.

Manitoba Moose Lose Again to Texas

Texas wasted no time scoring just 17 seconds into the game off the stick of Jason Dickinson. The Stars added to another at 8:13 mark when Colin Markison picked the top corner. Manitoba finally got on the board with 2:15 left in the first on a Tucker Poolman wrist shot.

The Moose played hard in the second with 15 shots at Texas goalie Mike McKenna. Despite numerous close calls, the Moose just couldn’t put one in the net and finish the second period 2 to 1 for Texas.

Then in the third Texas started on the power play scoring 1:14 into the third. Curtis McKenzie’s shot put Texas ahead 3-1. Penalties proved costly to the Moose who would be forced to kill off two more Texas power plays in the first half of the third. The Stars went on to add two more goals to their total with a goal from former Moose Greg Rallo and on e by Jason Dickinson making the final 5 – 2 Texas.
