WINNIPEG, MB – The Manitoba Moose shutout the Chicago Wolves, 2 – 0, in front of 6,988 fans last night in downtown Winnipeg.

It was a fast-paced start to the game with both teams getting their chances. The goaltenders Eric Comrie and Kasimir Kaskisuo were working hard in the first to keep the puck out of their respective nets and kept the game scoreless at the end of the first.
The Moose scored first at 6:25 into the second when Cam Maclise was able to score on Kaskisuo. The second period really belonged to Manitoba who outshot Chicago by a 21-11 count in the period. The Moose scored again at 8:56 on a goal from Francis Beauvillier making it 2 – 0 after 40 minutes.
Moose goalie, Comrie, remained unbeatable in the third, turning aside 12 shots and didn’t give the Wolves any opportunity to get back into the game. Comrie finished the night with 33 saves for his second shutout giving the Moose the win and their second straight victory.
