Manitoba Moose Win and Set Franchise Record

WINNIPEG, MB. – The Manitoba Moose not only beat San Antonio, they set a new franchise record, going 12 straight games without a regulation loss at home.

Manitoba played San Antonio Rampage for the first time this season on last night. The Rampage got the scored the first goal early in the first period. Manitoba tied the game thanks to Mason Appleton’s 10th goal of the season.

In the second period The Moose added to their lead with a goal from Sami Niku. The Moose then started to pull away at 11:34, when a three-on-one produced a gorgeous cross-ice feed from Mason Appleton to Jack Roslovic who roofed the puck for a two-goal edge. The Moose power play cashed in again, this time Niku set the table for Petan who unleashed a one-timer to put the Moose ahead 4-1. Manitoba closed out the period with a shorthanded goal from Patrice Cormier as he picked a Buddy Robinson feed out of the air to send the Moose to the intermission ahead 5-1.

San Antonio opened the third period with a power play goal but, Manitoba responded quickly, with a goal from Jansen Harkins. Just 12 seconds after that, JC Lipon assisted on a goal by Mike Sgarbossa making it a 7-2 Moose lead.
