Forecasters suggest freezing rain will start in southern Manitoba this morning. The most affected areas will be regions south of the Trans Canada Highway. Then, freezing rain will turn into heavy snow Sunday evening. The snowfall totals over the central and southeastern regions could be around 10 cm by Monday evening.
The forecast is predicting heavy snow and blowing snow will begin over western regions of the province Sunday evening. Easterly winds increasing to 40 km/h will combine with the falling snow that could create significant visibility issues with the snow and blowing snow.
