WINNIPEG – Manitoba’s chief public health officer, Dr. Brent Roussin, has hinted at even more COVID-19 restrictions.
He says he’s talked to Premier Brian Pallister about what else could be done to flatten the curve.
The Winnipeg metro area has been red or critical under the province’s pandemic response system for about a week now, while the Southern health region went red/critical just yesterday.
Roussin is hopeful coronavirus cases will start to drop any day now in Winnipeg, as the red/critical measures start to take hold.
But if not, Roussin seems ready to do whatever it takes to bring this virus under control, including additional restrictions and maybe soon.
