Multiple Drug Charges for Two Men from Winnipeg

Winnipeg, MB. – Winnipeg Police executed a search warrant Sunday, December 16, at a home in the 500 Block of St. Johns Avenue that lead to multiple charges for three people.

Police said they found three people in the home and all were taken into custody. An investigation has led to the seizure of a number of items including the following:

  • 21.5 ounces of Methamphetamine (valued at approximately $21,500).
  • $4,560 in Canadian currency.

In addition, 2 grams of Methamphetamine and $745 in Canadian currency was seized from one suspect.

Police charged Jacques Joseph Girardin, a 41-years-old of Winnipeg, with:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x2)

Police also charged Cameron Douglas Boychuk, 36-years-old of West St. Paul, with the following:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

Finally, a 30-year-old woman of West St. Paul was charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000.

Police said in the news release, Investigators believe these arrests and the seized items are related to drug trafficking within the city.
