Multiple Firearm Charges for Two Armed Robbers

WINNIPEG – Armed men threatened and robbed two victims before police caught up with them at an apartment on Blake Street.

They first went to an apartment of someone they know and forced him at gunpoint to leave before stealing property from his home.

A few hours later they robbed a pizza delivery driver, this time armed with bear spray.

After investigating, police executed a search warrant, seized a sawed off .22 calibre rifle and took two men into custody.

18 year-old Jordan Daniel Baker has been charged with:

– Armed Robbery using a Restricted Firearm or Prohibited Firearm

– Pointing a Firearm

– Possession of a Weapon (x2)

– Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

– Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations

– Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order

– Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x11)

19 year-old Peter Lee Bird has been charged with:

– Armed Robbery using a Restricted Firearm or Prohibited Firearm

– Robbery

– Possession of a Weapon

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

– Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations

They were detained in custody.
