WINNIPEG – Police seized an improvised firing device or “zip gun yesterday, after a car chase that lead to multiple charges for three people.

Officers spotted a stolen vehicle near Lombard and Rorie at about 4:15 A.M. and when they a tried to stop it, the car reversed into the cruiser causing extensive damage and then accelerated towards approaching officers, narrowly missing them.

The three occupants tried to get away on foot but were quickly arrested, however police were forced to use their taser on one of the suspects who resisted arrest.

An improvised firing device (‘zip gun’) was found inside the stolen vehicle along with a quantity of methamphetamine and stolen property related to an earlier residential break-in in East St. Paul, Manitoba.

26 year-old Danielle Marlene Sanderson (driver) was charged with:
