WINNIPEG – Schools in Winnipeg and area have some new COVID-19 rules to follow starting today.

More space has been made in classrooms and physical distancing is now two metres instead of one.

Teachers and other staff moving between cohorts of students must wear medical-grade face masks.

Indoor choir and the use of wind instruments aren’t allowed, while all field trips have been postponed or cancelled.

And kids from kindergarten to grade eight might be taught remotely.
