WINNIPEG – The logo commemorating Winnipeg’s 150 years as a city has been unveiled.

Local artist Jordan Stranger of Totem Doodem designed the image which is full of symbolism.

There are references to the seasons, local crops, two rivers and footprints representing the path to reconciliation.

The city officially marks 150 years on Friday, the anniversary of the first council meeting.
