New Members Appointed to Legal Aid Management Council

MANITOBA – Justice Minister Cliff Cullen announced six new members and one returning member to the Legal Aid Management Council for Manitoba.

“Access to legal aid is a cornerstone of our justice system, which makes the role of the management council and its responsibility for guidance and oversight of utmost importance,” said Cullen. “I am pleased to appoint new and returning members to the council, who bring a breadth of expertise and knowledge to these responsibilities.”

The new and returning members appointed are:

  • Allan Fineblit – chairperson;
  • Roberta Campbell;
  • Renwick DaCosta;
  • Brenda Gunn;
  • Daljit Kainth;
  • Dean Scaletta; and
  • Helga Van Iderstine.

    • These appointments support the Manitoba government’s efforts to continue to refresh the agencies, boards and commissions of our province, ensuring Manitobans continue to be represented in these important positions by highly qualified and enthusiastic individuals, Cullen noted.
