Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – Police in Manitoba will soon be able to deal better with people in need of mental health help.

This new tool connects officers with the health care system so they know the best approach.

Winnipeg police have used it more than four thousand times in just over a year and apprehension rates are down almost 60 per cent.

Justice minister Cliff Cullen says this province is the first to take Health IM to all its police forces.
