WINNIPEG, MB – It’s not a holiday for school zone speed limits in Winnipeg.

Winnipeg Police sent out a press release reminding the public that while today is Louis Riel Day, reduced speed limits in school zones will still be in effect.

The maximum speed limits of 30 km/h around many Winnipeg schools are in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday during the months of September to June inclusive.

Please slow down as you enter them. Enforcement may be in place.
