Pallister: ‘Grow Up & Stop Going Out’

WINNIPEG – Provincial officials are again urging Manitobans to take COVID-19 more seriously. This as cases continue to spike, hospitalizations have hit record levels and deaths are announced daily.

A frustrated Premier Brian Pallister is telling people who are still socializing in groups to “grow up and stop going out there and giving people COVID-19.”

According to Brent Roussin, the province’s top doctor, far too many coronavirus cases have more than 50 contacts. He says some people are even going to work or gatherings when they’re symptomatic.

14 people have died in the last week, taking the provincial death toll to 55. 18 of the deaths have occurred at Parkview Place, a Winnipeg personal care home.
