Police Arrest Four People Executing Firearms Warrant

WINNIPEG – In a joint effort, police took down four people executing a Firearms search warrant at a home on Jefferson Avenue.

Police said the search warrant was executed on August 25th at a home in the 100 block of Jefferson Avenue.

As part of the same investigation a vehicle was stopped on Main Street. Two men and a woman were removed from the vehicle and arrested. Police found a saw-off .22 rifle, and 2 air-soft pistols as well as a quantity of methamphetamine and prescription drugs.

Back on Jefferson Avenue a man was arrested in front the home. Officers seized an unloaded a 30-06 rifle, soft-body-armour and ammunition.

Police arrested and charged the following people:

Tyson Paul Colford, 31, of Winnipeg, was charged with 13 firearms related offences, as well as charges related to possession of property obtained by crime, proceeds of crime and drug trafficking charges (methamphetamine).

James Glen Houle, 29, of Winnipeg, faces a total of 16 criminal charges related to firearms, possession of methamphetamine and possession of property obtained by crime.

Raechel Marie Dueck, 29, of Winnipeg, faces a total of 8 criminal charges related to firearms, possession of methamphetamine and possession of property obtained by crime.

Shawn Derek Blair, 31, of Winnipeg, was charged with Possession of Body Armour without a Valid Permit under the Body Armour and Fortified Vehicle Control Act of Manitoba. Possession of a Weapon, Careless Use of a Firearm and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.

All 4 accused were detained in custody.
