WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Police have made an arrest regarding the March 16, 2019 murder of 38 year-old John Robert Gabriel.

Gabriel was stabbed at the intersection of Salter Street and Selkirk Ave just before 2:30 am. and later died as a result of his injuries.

On April 26 police located 22 year-old Christopher Tristan Keith Atkinson and charged him with second degree murder and breach of probation. It is believed that the victim was not known him him and robbery was the motive.
