WINNIPEG, MB – Police have identified the victim of a suspicious death reported yesterday on Manitoba Post.

Yesterday police only reported that they were investigating a suspicious death in the 500 block of Furby Street.

Today, police are saying they responded to a call in the 500 block of Furby around 2:30 a.m. When they arrived they located an unresponsive adult male. The Winnipeg Police are now confirming that the male had been stabbed.

The victim has been identified as Joseph Francois, a 45-year-old male of Winnipeg.

The Homicide Unit is now investigating and asking anyone with information to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
