Police Looking for Suspicious Man

WINNIPEG – Police are looking for a suspicious man who approached a 9 year-old girl on Burrows Avenue.

The incident occurred on February 11 at 9:00 am when the nine year-old girl and her 7 year-old sister were walking on Burrow. The man stopped his car, got out and motioned to grab the child. He then pulled away and both girls ran away to safety. He did not say anything to either child and they were unhurt.

He was last seen driving towards Keewatin Street.

The Winnipeg Police Service has received a report of a suspicious person that occurred

The male suspect is described as:

– Indigenous in appearance

– 30’s to 40’s in age

– Under 5’9″ tall

– Thin build

– Dark shoulder length hair

– Wearing a dark jacket, grey toque, and jeans

Winnipeg Police School Resource Officers have been made aware of the incident and the Winnipeg Police Service is investigating. Anyone having information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
