Police Seize Almost $50,000 of Meth

WINNIPEG – A search warrant resulting from a methamphetamine trafficking investigation led to the seizure of almost $50,000 of meth.

Police stopped the man as he was leaving his house on Airlies Street and placed him under arrest. When he was searched, officers found $1,000 of methamphetamine on him as well as another $47,000 of methamphetamine during the search of his house.

26 year-old Jason Bigl has been charged with possessing a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of a crime.

He was detained in custody.
