PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE, MB. – Portage RCMP responded to another shooting in the city early this morning.

At approximately 4:40 am today, RCMP responded to a report of a male who was shot outside a home at Poplar Bay in Portage la Prairie..

When police arrived they found a 26-year-old male from Portage injured. The was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP said in a release, that at this time, the incident does not appear to be random and ther is no public safety issues in relation to this incident.

RCMP remain on scene of the shooting as the investigation is ongoing.
