Province Forms Committee to Celebrate Manitoba’s 150th in 2020

WINNIPEG – The Manitoba Government announced they have created a special committee to tasked with planning celebrations to coincide with Manitoba’s 150th anniversary in 2020.

In a release, Minister Cox said, “We’ve gathered a great group of local experts together and we want to hear from people across the province who have ideas for events, projects or other initiatives.”

The Manitoba 150 Celebration Committee will be co-chaired by Cox and Stuart Murray, a well-known and dedicated community leader but, did not provide the names of any other committee members.

The Government did say the committee will work to generate ideas as well as inspire others to contribute thoughts and events to the Manitoba 150 celebrations.
