WINNIPEG – RCMP in Manitoba have issued a release asking the public to avoid visiting detachments for non-urgent matters
IN Manitoba the RCMP have 80 detachments spread across the Province, and each detachment is an important point of contact between the police and the communities they serve.
RCMP said in a released, “It is important to us that we remain accessible to Manitobans for when you need us most. For precautionary reasons due to COVID-19, effectively immediately, we are asking that the public only visit a detachment if it’s urgent”.
If you have a non-urgent matter, have a general question or want to speak with an officer, please call your local detachment: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/detach/en/find/MB
RCMP also stated fingerprints for a background check is being postponed until further notice.
As always, if it’s an emergency, please call 911 or your local emergency number.
