OXFORD HOUSE – A 17-year-old man died Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle.
RCMP said din the evening, 11:30PM, on September 4th a vehicle, being driven by a 16-year-old woman from Oxford House, struck a 17-year-old male, also from Oxford House. Police believe the young man was lying on the road at the time of the collision. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and immediately called police. The 17-year-old was taken to the nursing station in Oxford House where he was later pronounced dead.
Police said alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors in the collision. They are asking anyone with information on this collision to call the Oxford House Detachment at 204-538-2046.
